Terms and conditions for an NHS vasectomy self referral
Important Information for Self-Referring Patients
We do not routinely contact GP practices to confirm your eligibility for an NHS-funded vasectomy, and there is no online eligibility tool we can use.
In most cases, Frimley ICB will reimburse the cost of your vasectomy within three months — but only if you are registered with a GP practice within the Frimley ICB area. You can check whether your GP is part of the Frimley ICB here.
What Happens if You Are Not Eligible for a free vasectomy?
If Frimley ICB refuses to reimburse us because you are not registered with a GP practice in their area, we will treat the procedure as a non-compliant vasectomy. This means:
You will be invoiced for a non-compliant private vasectomy at a rate of £895. This is higher than our standard private fee due to the additional administrative work involved.
The fee will be reduced to £595 if paid promptly within 30 days of invoicing.
If payment is not received within 30 days:
Your case will be referred to a debt collection agency and, if necessary, legal action will be taken to recover the full amount.
This may lead to additional legal costs and could affect your credit rating.
